Metropolitan Community Foundation and
Homeless Children's Network

The Metropolitan Community Foundation and the Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco demonstrate what is potential in the heart of human beings; they are the expressed promise of compassion and care for one’s sister and brother; and they are the very Spirit of giving and open-heartedness itself.

Every year, the angels of MCC take the time to enclose toys, books, cards, games, clothing, music, and other sprinkles of play -- in colorful wrappings that in and of itself sing celebrations into the heart of each child. Dreams came true and homeless children found a home in the embroidered smiles that this act of grace left on them to cherish forever.

May the Blessings they have given to so many continue to flow in return to each and all within its embrace.

Executive Director, Homeless Children’s Network

For the seventh year in a row, Metropolitan Community Foundation (MCF) and Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco (MCCSF) will be collecting donations for the Homeless Children’s Network.

We will be collecting children’s gifts for 6 weeks -- from Sunday, November 8 through Sunday, December 13, 2009.  James Beck will be spearheading this year’s program. He can be reached at
assistant@mccsf.info.

The children’s gift wishes will be on display at both 11am and 7pm Sunday worship services.

If you wish to sponsor a child (or children) -- please click on the “Contact Us” page, and fill out the form.  Thank you.

A few suggestions that will help us and the HCN children and staff.

  • Please limit gifts to $50 or less (so that all of the children are treated equally);
  • Please do not purchase any red or blue clothing for boys age 10 and over;
  • Please be aware that for the safety/privacy of the children some of the names have been changed (i.e., the name shown may not be the real name of the child you are sponsoring); and
  • IMPORTANT: Please be sure to clearly label each gift with the name and number of the child who will receive your gift.  If you have purchased more than one gift for the same child remember to label all of the packages.
